I wish Substack offered a better option than “Like” to respond. Something more akin to “I Read This and am Duly and Fully Horrified” might work. Thank you for your continued work and efforts to inform.

Back in the late 90's and early 2000's I remember the adults at family gatherings talking about the unusually high amounts of cancer diagnoses amongst members of the community in Everly and the surrounding area. They all wondered if there was something in the water... My mom put in a reverse osmosis system on the farm around that time, probably 2003-ish. Somethings gotta change around here. My fear with this new generation being so mobile, especially with remote work opportunities, is that the aware ones (who care) will just leave for a better and safer place. And the rest who think this is all just a part of doing business will stay, leading to the same ol', same ol'. It seems the priority is little Chucky being able to show bottle calves while daddy posts smug pictures of himself on Facebook planting corn, loving his job. I love agriculture, but greed is running rampant, and when did it become so fucking arrogant?? Has it always been this way and I'm just now noticing? I felt like my Gpa and my Dad just had pride. ❤️
